Kudos to Amanda Burfield, who has now graduated from William Woods University with a master's degree in business administration.

Born and raised in Tipton, Missouri, Dana moved to Columbia in 2002 to attend the University of Missouri. She graduated in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Hotel Restaurant Management. In September 2005, Dana became a Chapter Member and helped open the new Courtyard by Marriott in Columbia, Missouri. Dana started at the hotel as a Front Desk Associate and was promoted to Guest Service Manager, and again promoted to the Sales Team. As a Sales Manager at the Courtyard by Marriott, Dana is responsible for selling group blocks, conference space, and outside catering. In the Sales Manager capacity, Dana has been recognized as the Sales Manager of the month two times in the past year for her management company, Kinseth Hospitality Companies. Also, in 2008 she was awarded Sales Manager of the Year by the Columbia Lodging Association.
Dana joined Rotaract in June 2008 and is the current Historian / Sergeant At Arms for the 2009-2010 year. She is also a member of the Columbia Hotel Marketing Association, where she is the current Vice President of Education. In August 2009, Dana will be moving into the role of President for the new term. Dana is involved in other various organizations within the community such as the Chamber of Commerce, Women’s Network, Emerging Professionals in Columbia, and Missouri Society of Association Executives. Dana is newly engaged and is excited about planning her June 2010 destination wedding in Vegas. In her spare time, Dana loves visiting wineries and traveling.
